“For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.”
σημεῖον
Sign, miracle, token, wonder. Semeion. Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe. Signs point beyond themselves. The miracle is never the main thing. It points to the One who does it.
