John 15:5
King James Version
6 Jun 2026
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
ἄμπελος
The branch does not strain to produce fruit. It simply stays connected to the vine and fruit comes naturally. Jesus says I am the vine — meaning all life, all fruitfulness, all nourishment flows from staying in Him. Disconnected, the branch can do nothing. Connected, it cannot help but bear fruit.
