To be, to exist. Eimi. When God names himself I AM, he uses this word. Existence itself belongs to him. Ground your identity in the one who simply is.

Little boy, young child. Paidarion. It was a small boy's lunch that fed five thousand. God delights in using what the small and overlooked offer. Never despise a little.

Made of barley. Krithinos. The boy's five barley loaves fed a multitude. God is not limited by the humbleness of what you offer. Bring it anyway.

One, a single one, unity. Heis. The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Oneness is not uniformity but wholeness. Let nothing divide what God has declared united.

a relish to other food (as if cooked sauce), i.e. (specially), fish (presumably salted and dried as a condiment)

Here, in this place. Hōde. Jesus said, "Come here," and "he is not here." The word marks presence and absence, arrival and encounter. Pay attention to where you are.

Five. Pénte. The number appears throughout Scripture in moments of provision and testing: five loaves feeding thousands, five wise virgins ready, five foolish ones not. What you have in hand is never too little if surrendered.

Two, a pair. Dýo. A witness requires two, a cord of two is not easily broken, and Jesus sent his disciples out two by two. Agreement between two carries weight.

This, this one, this person. This is My Son whom I love. With Him I am well pleased. The words spoken over Jesus are spoken over you through your union with Him.

Who, which, what. Tis. Scripture asks it constantly: who do you say that I am? The questions of God are not requests for information. They are invitations to search.
