Neighbor, one who dwells nearby. Períoikos. Those who live around us are not accidental arrangements. Know who lives near you.

Relative, kinsman, fellow countryman. Syngenes. Paul would have wished himself accursed for the sake of his kinsmen according to the flesh. Blood ties run deep, but so does the burden of intercession. Pray for your own.
