“For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.”

Just as, in the same way, inasmuch as. Kathōs. God loves, forgives, and gives — and calls us to do likewise. How He acts becomes the pattern for how we act. Live up to the standard.

Jonah, Jonas. Iōnâs. The prophet swallowed and returned, a sign of death and resurrection. As Jonah was three days in the belly of the fish, so was the Son of Man in the heart of the earth. No running from God's call goes unfinished.
