“The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.”

Ninevite, inhabitant of Nineveh. Nineuḯtēs. Jesus pointed to the Ninevites as those who repented at Jonah's preaching, holding them up as a rebuke to those who refused to believe. No city is too far gone for repentance.
