“And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:”

To give thanks, to be grateful. Eucharisteo. In everything give thanks. Eucharisteo is the root of Eucharist. Gratitude is not just an emotion. It is a spiritual discipline.

Cup, drinking vessel. Poterion. This cup is the new covenant in My blood. The cup that Jesus drank is the cup that became our salvation. Drink in remembrance of Him.
