“Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.”

To tempt, to test, to try. Peirazo. He was tempted in every way just as we are yet was without sin. Jesus was tested in every area of human weakness. He understands your struggle.

He was hungry.

To hunger, to be famished. Peinao. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. Spiritual hunger is a grace. Those who hunger for God will always be filled.
