“And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.”
παραπορεύομαι
Pass by, travel near. Paraporeúomai. Those who passed by the cross hurled insults, seeing but not truly witnessing. Proximity is not the same as presence. Draw near with your whole heart.
