“And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.”
ἄρτος
The most basic human need. You cannot go long without bread. Jesus takes the most fundamental hunger every human knows and says: I am the answer to that. I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger. Not never want things — never be left empty at the deepest level.
