To say, to speak with authority. Jesus said and it was so. When Jesus speaks everything listens. His words carry the weight of creation behind them.

Utterly astonished, overwhelmed with awe. Ekthambeo. When Jesus rose from the dead, the women at the tomb were ekthambeo. Some encounters with God leave no room for composure. Do not fear the overwhelm.

To seek, to look for, to desire. Zeteo. Seek first the kingdom of God. Seeking is active not passive. The kingdom does not come to those who wait passively. Seek it.

Nazarene, from Nazareth. Nazarēnós. Jesus was called the Nazarene, a title that followed him from village to cross. God chose obscurity as his starting point. Do not despise small places.

To be, to exist. Eimi. When God names himself I AM, he uses this word. Existence itself belongs to him. Ground your identity in the one who simply is.

Here, in this place. Hōde. Jesus said, "Come here," and "he is not here." The word marks presence and absence, arrival and encounter. Pay attention to where you are.

Look, behold, see this. Íde. Jesus used this word to draw eyes to what mattered: the man, the tomb, the lamb of God. Slow down and look where it points.
