“And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.”

To enter, to go in, to come in. Eiserchomai. Enter through the narrow gate. The narrow gate requires humility. Pride cannot fit through it. Only those who bow can enter.
μνημεῖον

Tomb, memorial, place of burial. Mnēmeîon. The stone was rolled away and the tomb stood empty. What was meant to hold death became the loudest proof of life.

Youth, young man. Neanískos. The young man in the tomb announced the resurrection; another walked away from Jesus grieving. Youth is neither a virtue nor a liability. Choose well with it.

Seated, dwelling, residing. Káthēmai. Jesus sat down to teach, and to reign. To be seated is to be established, settled, at rest in a place of authority. Sit in the presence of the One who is enthroned.

White, bright, gleaming. Leukós. In Revelation, the risen Christ has hair white as wool, white as snow, and the overcoming saints are clothed in white. White marks holiness, victory, and the presence of God. Pursue what is worthy of that garment.

Utterly astonished, overwhelmed with awe. Ekthambeo. When Jesus rose from the dead, the women at the tomb were ekthambeo. Some encounters with God leave no room for composure. Do not fear the overwhelm.
