Work, deed, act. Ergon. We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works. Good works are not the root of salvation. They are the fruit of it.

Make, do, produce. Poiéō. Faith without works is dead. What you believe will always show itself in what you make and do. Let your actions confirm your confession.

To widen, to enlarge. Platynō. God promises to enlarge your heart when you walk in his commands. Make room.

Phylactery, Scripture guard-case. Phylaktḗrion. The Pharisees wore these boxes of Scripture on their bodies while missing the Word in their hearts. Carry the truth inward, not only outward.

To magnify, to make great, to glorify. My soul magnifies the Lord. To magnify is not to make God bigger. It is to make Him more clearly seen.

Hem, fringe, tassel. Kráspedon. The woman pressed through the crowd to touch the hem of Jesus' garment and was made whole. Even the edge of his clothing carried the fullness of his power. Nothing about him is ordinary.

Garment, clothing, cloak. Himátion. Jesus said do not worry about what you will wear, yet soldiers gambled for his himátion at the cross. What we wear matters far less than who we follow. Seek him first.
