Someone, anyone, something. Tis. Scripture often hinges on this small word: if anyone thirsts, let him come. The invitation is unrestricted. No one is excluded from the call.

Wandering, going around, straying. Perierchomai. Some went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute and wandering. Not all wandering is aimless, but most drifting is. Stay anchored.

Jewish, belonging to Judah. Ioudaios. Salvation is from the Jews. God chose a people to bring the Messiah into the world. His choice of Israel was for the benefit of all nations.

Exorcist, one who binds by oath. Exorkistḗs. Some Jewish exorcists invoked the name of Jesus without knowing him, as in Acts 19, and were overpowered. Authority over darkness is not a formula. It requires relationship.

Name, call upon, profess. Onomázō. Every knee will bow and every tongue confess the name above all names. What you name, you honor. Speak it carefully.

To have, to hold, to possess. I have learned in whatever state I am to be content. Contentment is not about having more but appreciating what you have.

Spirit, breath, wind. Pneuma. God is Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, God living inside every believer. He leads guides comforts and empowers.

Evil, wicked, bad. Poneros. Deliver us from the evil one. The evil one has a name but no ultimate power. He operates only within the limits God permits. His defeat is certain.

A name, a reputation, a character. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. The name of Jesus is unique and exclusive.

Lord, master, owner. Kurios. Jesus is Lord. The foundational confession of Christianity. Lord means owner. To confess Jesus as Lord is to surrender ownership of your life.

Jesus. Iesous. The Greek form of Yeshua meaning the LORD saves. The name given before His birth. In His name is salvation healing and authority over every power of darkness.

To say, to speak with authority. Jesus said and it was so. When Jesus speaks everything listens. His words carry the weight of creation behind them.

To put on oath, make swear, solemnly charge. Horkizō. Paul charged the Thessalonians by the Lord that his letter be read to all. Some commands carry the full weight of divine witness. Take such charges seriously.

Who, which, that, the one who. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. God finishes what He starts.
