“And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him.”
παραδίδωμι
To hand over, to betray, to deliver up. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. The delivering of Jesus was the saving of the world.
