“And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.”
πλῆθος
Multitude, great number, throng. Plēthos. The early church was marked by a multitude of believers acting as one heart and soul. Quantity and unity are not opposites. Let neither be sacrificed for the other.
Πιλᾶτος
Pilate.

Πιλᾶτος
Pilate, Roman governor. Pilatos. He held the power to release or crucify, yet handed Jesus over to satisfy the crowd. Authority without courage is no authority at all.
