“And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.”
ὀμνύω
To swear, take an oath. Omnýō. Jesus warned against swearing by anything, calling his followers to let their yes be yes. Let your word be so trustworthy that oaths become unnecessary.

Seated, dwelling, residing. Káthēmai. Jesus sat down to teach, and to reign. To be seated is to be established, settled, at rest in a place of authority. Sit in the presence of the One who is enthroned.
