“Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.”

Separatist, religious sectarian. Pharisaios. The Pharisees prized external separation and legal precision above all else, yet Jesus reserved his sharpest rebukes for them. Religion without mercy becomes its own kind of lawlessness. Guard your heart against the pride of the set-apart.

Blind, unable to see. Typhlos. Jesus opened the eyes of the blind as a sign that the Kingdom had come. Spiritual blindness is more dangerous than physical. Ask him to make you see.
