A thought, a purpose, a scheme. We are not unaware of Satan's schemes. Knowing the enemy's tactics is part of spiritual warfare. Stay alert.

Substance, foundation, assurance, confidence. Hupostasis. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Faith gives reality to what is not yet visible. It is the title deed of future promises.

Highest, Most High, Supreme. Hypsistos. The angels cry "Glory to God in the highest" and the demons tremble before the Son of the Most High. No name sits above this one. Bow accordingly.

All, every, whole, any. Pas. All things work together for good. All authority has been given to Me. All the promises of God are yes in Christ. God thinks in absolutes of blessing.

To submit, to place under, to be subject to. Hupotasso. Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Submission is not weakness. It is the posture of security and strength.

Jesus. Iesous. The Greek form of Yeshua meaning the LORD saves. The name given before His birth. In His name is salvation healing and authority over every power of darkness.

Height, exalted thing, barrier. Hypsoma. No high thing can separate us from the love of God. What raises itself against the knowledge of God must be brought low.

Lift up, raise high. Epairo. Jesus lifted up his eyes and prayed; the disciples lifted up their voices and praised. What you raise reveals what you worship. Lift wisely.

Knowledge, understanding, insight. Gnosis. The knowledge of God. True knowledge begins with knowing God. All other knowledge is context. This is the content.

God. Theos. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The ultimate reality. The source of all existence. Personal knowable and present.

Obedience, submissive hearing. Hypakoē. True obedience begins with the ears before it reaches the hands. Hear rightly, then act accordingly.

The one set apart and equipped for a specific task. Oil was poured on kings, priests and prophets in the Old Testament — the anointing meant: this one is chosen, this one is sent. Jesus stands up in Nazareth and reads Isaiah — and then says: this is Me. I am the one sent.
