“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

Reasoning, thought, argument. Logismos. Every proud argument that rises against the knowledge of God must be taken captive. What you allow to reason unchecked in your mind will either serve Christ or oppose him. Guard the gate.
